How does your service work?
First-time users must register as a titleX.com user. You must fill out the entire registration form with valid information in all fields. You must enter a valid user (Log In) name and password. For example, if you enter an incorrect e-mail address your registration form will not be valid until you enter a correct or "good" e-mail address. So be sure to enter all of your information correctly.
After you have registered and are a valid user you will then need to purchase tokens.
In order to search, view, and print you must first purchase titleX.com tokens. Each token has a value of 25 cents, and you must purchase a minimum
of 80 tokens at a time, i.e., $20.00 worth. To purchase tokens you must fill out the necessary form on the tokens page. Once your purchase has been approved your account will be credited with the amount of tokens purchased and you may begin or continue your search. You must enter your credit card information EACH time you wish to purchase tokens. We apologize
for this inconvenience. For your credit card protection we do not save your credit card account information on our site. These prices are subject to change without notice.

How does a multi-field search work?
A multi-field search queries two or more separate fields within the same query. For example, if a user is looking for all of the deeds of trust that have been filed in a certain survey for the last 12 months then the user would enter DT in the "instrument type" field, the relative survey in the "survey abstract"
field and the start date in the "date" field before beginning the search.

Why am I being charged for an advanced search when I only enter basic search criteria?
You are being charged for an advanced search because you have activated the advanced fields on one of our forms. When you enter basic search criteria with these fields activated you should be prompted with a box warning you that you have not entered anything into the activated fields. If you click ok then you will be charged the advanced search price. If you click cancel you will be charged the basic search price. Please see our search form tutorial for clarification.
